Baked, 2026
My practice uses constructed domestic environments to examine memory, trauma, and the gendered structures of private life. The installation translates the psychological aftermath of family loss into a physical interior composed of a 1950’s bedroom set, artificial turf, a car front, wall-mounted paintings, a bookcase of religious texts, and an alcohol cabinet filled with hard liquor. Text elements—“Will Religion Save You” and “Just One More and You Will Feel Better Soon”—position belief and addiction as parallel responses to grief. Viewers enter a space where domestic comfort and loss quietly coexist, revealing the instability beneath familiar ideals of home
