 In Woman as Home Decor, women wear lampshades to conceal their identities, transforming them into objects rather than human beings. These women are presented as decorations—household objects of beauty, sexual gratification, and fertility.

This series is a pointed, playful yet deeply felt commentary on domestic disharmony and the complexities of a modern woman’s identity. Holding an apple or a pair of sunglasses, powerful symbols of both fertility and sexual temptation, these women present a striking, satirical lens on contemporary feminism and the shifting roles of women today, all set against the colorfully-stylized backdrop of carefully-ordered, domestic tranquility.
